Thomas Mitchell (Mitchell) is a resident of Colleyville, a community located midway between Dallas and Fort Worth in Tarrant County, Texas. Mitchell is a seasoned real estate professional with a strong investment track record with proven accomplishments in commercial real estate investments and development. A high energy, skilled negotiator experienced in structuring challenging transactions. His career in commercial real estate spans over 40 years as an investor, developer, and real estate broker, predominantly in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. As president of the Mitchell Companies, (a Texas-based real estate company), his firm currently specializes in commercial transactions including investments, building and land development, retail, office, medical, hotel, multi-family properties, and land transactions. COMPANY HISTORY AND FOCUS: Mitchell Investments specializes in the acquisition, sale, and financing of income producing properties and land development for investors ranging from individual buyers and sellers to institutional clients; the company also acquires assets for its own account. Mr. Mitchell’s primary focus is that of investor/syndicator. Acquisitions and development activity over the last 10 years include 10.2 acres in west Fort Worth for Mitchell’s development of 101 units of senior cooperative housing, the 237-room Holiday Inn Arlington, which was converted for long-term corporate clients (American Airlines), a 176 unit multi-family community utilizing a HUD 221 (d)(4) developmental loan on land located at John T. White Road/Eastchase Parkway in Fort Worth, Texas (sold this property in 2005 to Atlantic Housing Foundation, who now operates the property as the Silver Leaf Apartment Community). Within the last three years, Mitchell has entitled 62 residential lots along the Trinity River in Ft. Worth, 420 lots in Crowley, Texas, 12 lots in Colleyville, and 6.25 acres of multifamily land in Joshua, Texas for the development of 100 units. Since 2004, Mitchell has developed 10 DaVita dialysis centers as owner/landlord. DFW Commercial Realty Group (www.dfwadvisors.com), the brokerage and consulting division owned by Mitchell Investments, has facilitated the acquisition of approximately 10,000 apartment units with a total deal volume in excess of $500,000,000 since its inception. EUROPE: Mr. Mitchell also is the founder and past president of Triomphe partners, the master franchisor of Coldwell Banker Commercial and Residential for 28 countries in Western Europe. The countries include France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, The United Kingdom, and Scotland. He established the European office for Coldwell Banker Europe located in Paris, France, and aligned an international team of investors and partners to strategically tap this unique growth opportunity. He founded this company in 1999 and sold his interests in 2004. PERSONAL: Mr. Mitchell is originally from Oxford, Mississippi. He is a 1974 graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, where he received his BBA degree in General Business and Real Estate. He married Maryanne, a Texas Tech Zeta Tau Alpha, in Venice, Italy in 1984. He has one child, a son, who attended Culver Military Academy in Indiana, graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and now resides in California.
Kevin Coyne has been an entrepreneur for over 20 years and a real estate investor for the past six years. In 2008 Lifestyles Unlimited (a real estate investor membership group) recruited Kevin to become the Director of their Single Family Program. During those three years Kevin mentored and helped close over 200 deals for investors. In addition Kevin hosted the Real Estate Investor Radio program heard on BizRadio, KRLD, KLIF and CNN. Kevin has now joined DFW Commercial Realty Group as an agent and mentor to real estate investors. He has helped close deals and build investors’ real estate portfolios. Kevin enjoys traveling and officiating high school basketball having worked state championship games for several years. His son Bill has recently graduated from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM and his son Steven attends the University of Texas in Austin.
